Height: 747m
Terrain: Mostly rock at the top with South, Summit & North Tors. The side are mostly heather, grass & mud especially in wet weather.
Views: Slieve Binnian is a great mountain to hike. The summit is almost 1 mile long and consists of the South Tor, Summit Tor & the North Tor with each side providing great views over the Mourne Mountain range & the Irish sea. During the 7 7's challenge walk Binnian most certainly broke my spirit.

Park at Carrick Little and follow the laneway up to the gate as shown in the background photo. Pass through & follow the wall up to the left. This will take you to the top of Binnians South Tor. Near the summit the wall disappears but walk to your right & look for a natural gap. You are almost there. View here
Park in Silent Valley & along the reservoir until you reach Ben Crom dam. Follow the worn track to the right which is quite a steep climb to the saddle between Slieve Lamagan & Slieve Binnian. Slieve Binnian is to the right. View here
This mountain can be included in longer walks.
