This photo was taken by Peter Barr in 2008 when walking up the Slieve Bearnagh side of Slieve Meelmore. The beauty of this photo is that the hikers were unaware of the photograph being taken. There is a lack of respect for the mourne wall but the mourne granite can certainly handle a couple of energy saving hikers.
Slieve Meelmore is actually smaller than its neighbour Slieve Meelbeg for which there is a story. I'll get to that.
